Scheduling

All Portage High School students visit their school counselors each winter to schedule classes for the following school year. The following tips will help you build your schedule. Please select your graduation cohort on the red menu (to the right or below these instructions) for more detailed information.
  1. To find out more information about your course choices, click on "Course Descriptions"
    on the red menu here. Pay attention to the pre-requisites required for some courses. Dual credit courses are marked with a star on your Course Plan Sheet.
  2. Choose a total of 14 credits. Course numbers that end in A/B are full-year courses worth 2 credits. Other courses are one-semester courses worth 1 credit.
  3. Make sure you fill in alternate courses with full year and semester choices. Do not circle alternate courses.
